We wanted to help you navigate what your options are and better inform you of what you can get from each vehicle choice.
Instead of identifying vehicles by their year, manufacturer, make or model, we'll share the basics of what each vehicle can be identified as - size and type. It's important to have a general idea about this to help you identify what kind of vehicle suits your specific needs.
1. Sub-compactSome sub-compact vehicles include the Honda Fit. While Honda Canada no longer manufactures the Fit, we still often see them come up on our pre-owned lot - but never for long, as they tend to be a hot commodity that everyone wants to snatch up. Driving a sub-compact car means better fuel efficiency, and yes - there is often still enough interior space for all your precious cargo.
2. CompactCompact vehicles include the Honda Civic, Civic Hatch, and Civic Coupe. While these vehicles, like the sub-compact, offer great fuel efficiency, they tend to offer more legroom as well as larger cargo space. You can shop these vehicles on our pre-owned lot or pre-order your next Civic with us today.
3. Mid-SizedA mid-sized sedan would be a Honda Accord - spacious, longer exterior, and smooth drive. A mid-sized sedan is a great option for those that don't necessarily want to jump to an SUV but still require that extra space. Plus, they come in at a great price so it's money well spent.
4. Full-Sized Full-sized vehicles tend to offer more cargo space much like the mid-sized sedan, but also more space for passengers as well. On top of a roomy interior, it also sometimes offers better fuel economy than an SUV.
5. Pick-upThe Honda Ridgeline is a great example of a pickup. If you require a vehicle that assists in towing and hauling heavier things, then a pick-up might be the best vehicle for you. While the Honda Ridgeline is on the smaller side of pick-up trucks, it still offers a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, which doles out 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The Ridgeline can also tow up to 5,000 pounds - so you're set for any summer adventures you want to go on.
6. CrossoverHonda carries two options for a crossover: The smaller HR-V, and the larger crossover SUV CR-V. If you're looking for a step up above a sedan, these two choices would be what you want to consider. The HR-V is smaller than the CR-V but still offers a ton of space and is powered by a 158-horsepower, four-cylinder engine. Both the CR-V and HR-V include driver-assistance technology and great safety features.
7. SUVWhile both the CR-V and HR-V are also considered in the SUV lineup, if you're looking for even more cargo space and better towing capabilities, the Honda Passport and Honda Pilot would be where you'd want to look. The Honda Pilot offers seating for 7 or 9 depending on the trim level while the Passport offers seating for 5 with the same space amount as the Pilot (so it's perfect for smaller families that need that extra cargo space).
8. MinivanMinivans are great for larger families on the go, and the Honda Odyssey is no exception. The Odyssey has great gas economy, cargo space, and an endless list of safety, comfort, and utility features.
9. Full-sized vanFull-sized vans are a great option if you are looking for that perfect work vehicle that can help you bring all the necessary tools or equipment with you to your job site.
While this is just a generic list of vehicles and their sizing, let's discuss other types of vehicles which would include Hybrid and Electric options.
While conventional vehicles include gasoline or diesel, the majority of automakers, including Honda, are introducing more and more Hybrid and Electric options. Hybrid vehicles give the driver the option to operate and be fueled like normal vehicles but also have one or more electric motors and a battery. Hybrids, in turn, provide better fuel efficiency and pollute less. Fully electric vehicles run on...well, you guessed it, electricity. They are supplied with a rechargeable battery pack that can be plugged in to charge your vehicle rather than stopping at a gas station to refill your tank.
