The Civic comfortably balances both good performance and excellent fuel economy at the same times. The standard engine is +19 HP more than the Corolla, it also has a turbocharged engine that the Corolla lacks and is +41HP over the Corolla’s base engine. The turbocharged engine delivers a torque output rate of up to 2,700 RPM lower than the Corolla’s base engine that’s meant for usable everyday power.
Much like the comparison with the Corolla, the Civic standard engine produces 9 more horsepower, while the turbocharged engine is +31 more HP than the Nissan Sentra’s only engine option. Both the Civic’s standard and turbocharged engines deliver greater fuel economy than the Sentra. The Civic Sport and touring also offer paddle shifters on the wheel, something none of the Sentra trims have.
The Civic comes with a standard 7-inch driver information interface with its Touring trim sporting a 10.2-inch digital instrument screen. This is much bigger than the Corolla which comes standard with a basic 4.2-inch display screen, the Corolla’s largest available driver display increases to 7-inches, meeting the Civics standard. On the Civic, Apple Carplay® and Android Auto™ come standard for each trim, as well the Touring and Si trim offers a wireless option although the Corolla does not offer wireless at all.
Similar to the Corolla, the Sentra doesn’t offer wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ for any of their trims, a position the Civic stands above its competitors in their Touring and Si trims. The Civic offers a wireless charger in its Touring trim, while the Sentra doesn’t offer a wireless charger at all. The Corolla shows more similarities to its competitor the Sentra with its screen size at 4.2-inches and is available in 7-inches, the Civic comes with a standard 7-inch driver information interface with its Touring trim sporting a 10.2-inch digital instrument screen.
